Stripping membranes at 1 cm dilated

I'm 39+1 today and just got my membranes stripped at the doctor's office this morning. I'm apparently about 1.5-2cm dilated and my cervix is soft. I'm hoping the membrane stripping will move things along, I'd love to have this baby before her due date!

Just that when labor does come, maybe it won't be as long. I was dilated 3cm with my son at 36 weeks and he was born after my water broke at 39.5 days.
