#1 · Jun 11, 2019. MY JD X530 dropped the PTO clutch for a second time. John Deere says it MUST be replaced because it runs the transmission. Can someone tell me if that is true? It drives without the PTO engaged. I'm tired of the cost of repairs and would like to leave it off and use a 7 gang pull behind mower.
