Nov 2, 2017. #1. Just got a set and thinking of cutting them down and using a 3 step aider on each. My question is about where to cut them down. Considering cutting them just below the middle step at the bottom of that solid section just before the slot cut out begin again. My initial plan was to cut them so the steps are at roughly 20” apart.

Hawk Helium Stick Mods. Thought I'd share the modifications I made to my climbing sticks. Having to deal with metal to metal noises I put 2 coats of Hercules bed liner (Lowes) then painted. The bed liner ruberized the pieces. After painting with primer gray I used the sponge method to finalize the color scheme.

I've got a set of the large helium sticks. I've done a couple mods on them, added silencer strips to the backs and Amsteel daisy chains to replace the cam straps but that's it so far. My issue is that I keep getting a loud squeaking noise that seems to be coming from the versa button when I've got my weight on them.

When I get all the way on the top step and move the tether to max height I can't reach the stick.
