The moral of the story is that modern pledging at UVA pales in comparison to what it was 10, or even 5, years ago. Then again most of the known details of individual pledge processes are all hear-say. So the only way to truly understand what pledging entails is to go through it and sacrifice one semester for the sake of your house.
