It's very easy to cross the wires on a front mount. Firing order is 1-2-4-3, CCW. Even if you have to check each plug wire from the cap to the plug w/ a test light, do it. The engine idled smooth and carb settings were correct. Ignition wires all connected on the proper firing order to the s/plugs and distrb. Plugs, wires, distrb cap, points and rotor have less than 50 hrs on them. Turns out that the ignition points mounting screw/s had loosened up and caused the point gap to close up considerably.
