Fully loaded with camping gear, WOT on the highway, I've gotten as low as 25mpg. The stock carb will jerk and cough when whacking the throttle open at high rpms. My Drz400sm, 2007, DynoJet Jet Kit, FMF exhaust, 3x3 Mod. 38.7/8222 Hp/rpm. 37.81/5795 N*m/rpm. Looks totally proper to me, bone stock is 32 - 34hp to the wheel. Adding stg2 hot cams cams might tip you to 40 Hp. Then an FCR carb would tip you to maybe 43 - 45 Hp.
