Well, I finally did it. I ordered a hunting rifle last week through my LGS and to make a long story short , I was refunded my money and never got the gun.

Mid Length gas system is better than carbine, and the BFH barrel is better than the standard. BFH has tighter metal grain structure, making it a stiffer barrel, also BFH has a more uniform surface in the bore, allowing the chrome to be applied more evenly which leads to increased accuracy. I haven’t had the same barrel in both profiles, but the same length. My 14.5 elw and 14.5 standard bfh were equally accurate with the same handloads. Easily 1 moa or better. I actually saw worse dispersion in the standard during rapid fire than the elw.
